Celebrating Student Achievement at WHS’s 52nd Annual Academic Excellence Banquet

Posted Date: 05/27/26 (03:34 PM)

Last night, Williamstown High School came together at Masso’s Orchard Garden in Glassboro for its 52nd Annual Academic Excellence Banquet, and the evening felt like exactly what it was meant to be — a celebration of students who have shown steady effort, strong habits, and the kind of determination that makes our entire school community proud.

People walk towards a large white tent entrance with stone pillars and gates.

For so many of these students, this recognition represents more than grades on a paper. It reflects the quiet work done day after day, the late nights of studying, the focus in class, and the kind of follow-through that speaks volumes about who they are becoming. Surrounded by proud families, supportive staff, and district leaders, the room was filled with the kind of genuine pride that can only come from a community truly invested in its students.

We are deeply grateful to Ms. Locicero and Ms. Zimmerman for the care, organization, and heart they put into planning such a meaningful evening. Their efforts helped create a banquet that felt warm, polished, and personal from beginning to end.

We also thank the Williamstown Board of Education for its continued support of student recognition and academic excellence, and extend our appreciation to WHS Principal Ms. Stanton and District Superintendent Dr. McBride for helping honor the Academic Excellence students and Clyde A. Stauffer Memorial Scholars with thoughtful remarks encouraging them as they continue toward their future goals.

The evening also took time to recognize Mr. Fau, Williamstown High School’s 2026 Teacher of the Year, who shared thoughtful remarks and was celebrated for the energy, humor, and positivity he brings to WHS each day. Mr. Fau has a genuine ability to make students feel seen, supported, and encouraged, and the impact of those everyday connections is something that continues to be felt throughout the building. A special thank you to Masso’s Catering for the wonderful dinner and welcoming setting that helped make the evening feel so special.

Most importantly, congratulations to all of our Academic Excellence honorees. Being recognized among the top students from high schools across Gloucester County reflects far more than academic success alone — it speaks to the dedication, consistency, character, and commitment these students bring to the classroom each and every day. Surrounded by the families, educators, and Monroe community members who have supported and encouraged them along the way, the evening served as a meaningful celebration of their accomplishments and the bright futures ahead. Williamstown High School is incredibly proud of all our students and of the example they continue to set for future generations of Braves.
